Heli Golf Limitations

As with any form of aviation, the performance of the aircraft is all about compromise. Helicopter performance is governed by MAUW (Maximum All Up Weight) so you always have to consider the total weight; including passengers, baggage and fuel with the lifting capability of the helicopter. In short, if you are carrying a heavy payload i.e. passengers and golf clubs and you exceed the MAUW limitation, then you will have to carry less fuel. Less fuel means shorter distances flown. All of our helicopters are capable of carrying up to four passengers with clubs but there will be the above limitations to consider. How can you help.

• If possible, use lightweight, soft, golf bags like the one shown above.
• Only take the clubs that you think you will need.
• Leave the golf trolley at home, these can be provided at the golf club.
• Drinks will be provided so there is no need to take water.
• There’s no need to take food or snacks.This can be purchased at the golf club.
• Complete the Heli-Golf Booking Form. It will help us to calculate fuel required.
