As with flying in the United Kingdom, the performance of the Helicopter is all about compromise. Helicopter performance is governed by MAUW (Maximum All Up Weight) so you always have to consider the total weight, including passengers, baggage and fuel with the lifting capability of the helicopter. In Spain, we also have to consider the effect that Temperature and Altitude has on the performance of the Helicopter too. In short, if you are carrying a heavy payload i.e. passengers and golf clubs and you either exceed the MAUW limitation or you are taking off from a high location in hot weather, then you will have to carry less fuel. Less fuel means shorter distances flown. All of our helicopters are capable of carrying up to four passengers with clubs but there will be the above limitations to consider.
Spain is also very thin on the ground when it comes to airports so there are limited places that we can refuel if necessary.
How can you help.
